7th August 2012 MINISTER LOOKS TO FINLAND TO SOLVE HOMELESSNESS

The Federal Government doesn't know if it's on course to meet its target to cut the homelessness rate by 20 per cent in six years. In 2008 the then prime minister Kevin Rudd set the interim goal and promised to halve the problem by 2020. The Minister for Housing and Homelessness, Brendan O'Connor, concedes Labor may need some new ideas if it's going to deliver.

7th August 2012 SECTOR UPDATE: ABS REVIEW OF COUNTING THE HOMELESS

Drawing on the learnings from Australia’s leading homelessness academics Professors Chris Chamberlain and David MacKenzie, advice from the HSRG, international research and local evidence, the ABS will launch a paper on 11 September 2012.
